Like tens of thousands of others in Somaliland, these two women were forced to flee their homes due to the catastrophic drought in Northern Somaliland. Both were forced to make dangerous journeys in order to find a place to stay, ending up in temporary camps. This moment is a reminder of the strength that women find together - I have been able to document and tell the stories of so many women with such tragic stories, who have not given up - but been filled with courage to overcome and make life changing and courageous decisions for themselves and their children.
