High ranking gangster in the 28's Number Gang (Cape Town) from the series “Who Are You”.
South African prisons have a long history of secretive and mythological gang culture going back to the late 19th century. The members of these so called “Number Gangs” - the 26s, 27s and 28s have “military ranks” like general, captain, judge, sergeant, soldier etc. and very have close ties to the organized crime in their communities.
