I always wanted to photograph these majestic animals, since I have been traveling to Uganda. The small trucks maneuvering a large number of those cows on a daily basis through the dusty and pothole contaminated roads of Kampala coming from the far villages are an eye catcher for anybody from abroad. The significant long, sharp and sculptural horns vary in sizes and shapes and once on the ground one can see on the slow head movement that they are heavy. I took this shot at a slaughtery whose exact details I will spare you to describe for the sake of your wellbeing. However somehow knowing they will be not making it through the day a large number of cows spotted me lingering at a wooden fenced corner of the brick walled compound from where I was allowed to take photos. It was a magic moment as they all gathered in front of me lining up one by one for that one last shot giving them immortality before being placed in Gods hand.
